Start Date: 26 October 2019
Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm
With: Vic Bearcroft
* ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED *
Join well known wildlife artist and conservationist Vic Bearcroft, for this unique one day workshop focusing on how to create a painting with atmosphere and drama by the use of tonal contrasts in both the subject and background!
Painting wild animals can be daunting, but Vic will expertly guide you through how to achieve good composition and realistic textures, through a combination of group and individual tuition. You will also learn the secrets of creating soft fur textures in pastel, which is one of the strong points about using velour paper.
Vic will also discuss the importance of using reference photos to create atmospheric art-works, including techniques and tips that can be applied to using photos of not only wildlife subjects, but also your own domestic pets that you may wish to paint in the future.
The day will conclude with an opportunity to review your progress and share your thoughts with the other students and Vic. Click here to see some samples of Vic’s work.
