Drawing the human figure from life improves drawing skills by teaching you to see and accurately describe form, plus it is useful practice for whatever you wish to draw and paint.
During the morning you will sketch the model from a series of short poses, developing their observational skills and learning how to quickly capture form and the essence of the figure. Drawing techniques will be demonstrated; covering anatomy, shape, form, tone, light, perspective and foreshortening.
In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to produce a detailed study of the model in a longer pose, using your own preferred medium. Advice will be given on the use of materials, with a demonstration on colour mixing for accurate skin tones.
Model fees are included in the price of the workshop.
