Start Date: 18 November 2018
Time: 10:00am - 4.00pm
With: Lesley Rumble
Join our popular resident artist Lesley Rumble, for this brand new workshop, designed to draw you into the exciting world of colour and abstraction. Do you attempt to copy a photograph exactly and then feel disappointed with the result, well if so, this could be just the workshop for you!
Initially you will be extracting themes of colour, line, pattern, and subject from several sketches and photographs, eventually to create a new composition, or more. There is a light box at the studio for tracing images – far cleaner than using tracing paper. The end results will be stimulating and fun, and expect to work on large paper or canvas; there’s nothing small and fiddly about this workshop!
Who should attend?
This workshop will suit all abilities. What counts most is enthusiasm! Lesley will give plenty of demonstrations, and one-to-one tuition through-out the day.
